This Style 18 model is part of Martin's "reimagined" Standard Series, which means there are some different specs than earlier Martins with the same model code. For the most part, what Martin has done is migrate many of the features previously reserved for their Vintage Series to these Standard Series guitars, in fact the Style 18 models no longer appear in the Vintage Series at all because they would be redundant.
New specs for these Style 18 Standard Series models include: Scalloped X top bracing. Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Neck is 1 3/4" wide at the nut. Faux tortoiseshell celluloid binding and pickguard. Vintage style open-back tuners. Original style gold Martin decal on headstock. Slightly toned finish (natural spruce top not as "white") .
