Collings rosewood 0 models are often overlooked because they're not super-small "baby" or "parlor" guitars with a really short string scale, but they're not full-sized acoustics either by modern standards. But falling in between isn't a bad thing at all, and the combination of the rosewood body and standard "short" scale (24 7/8") gives this guitar a much bigger sound than you'd expect and a tone with plenty of bass. Compared to an OM or 000, the 0 size is a full 1 1/2 inches more narrow in the lower bout, which means it tucks under your right arm and allows you to play it when seated in comfy positions on the couch that would leave a larger guitar right up under your chin. And when you've got a hankering for an even shorter scale try this trick: tune the whole guitar down a full step (so your 1st and 6th strings are a D), then put a capo at the second fret. The position markers make sense, you're tuned to standard pitch, and the guitar plays like butter, with your left hand closer to your body. This 0 size Collings will feel like a baby or parlor model, but with a much bigger sound and full-sized tone.
