The D12-28 has been Martin's longest-running 12-string model since it was introduced in 1970. This newly added model is the herringbone-trimmed version which also has features from the now-discontinued Vintage Series. Think HD-28, but with 12 strings. Since you're adding so many treble strings to the mix with a 12-string it helps to have some real bass response to balance them. This rosewood Dreadnought delivers the bottom end needed so you get the chime and jingle of 12 strings with a smooth bass tone to tie it all together.
