The Collings 290 is named for Highway 290, a scenic road that winds past the Collings shop though the Texas Hill Country. The 290 has a solid mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fretboard and lots of sonic attitude. This variation has a double-cutaway, which offers easy unhindered access to the upper frets. The Lollar P-90s are very versatile pickups and range from pristine clean tones with rich harmonic complexity to hard-hitting classic rock sounds.
