We haven't had an engraved National Tri-Cone in a while so it's nice to have such an iconic resonator guitar in stock again. The combination of pure Art Deco styling of the body and headstock with the highly stylized floral engraving gives this National an almost jewelry-like gleam. And it sounds as good as it looks, the brass body with triple cones delivers a smoother acoustic tone than the single "biscuit cone" models, while still delivering plenty of volume and "bite" when you need it. No wonder Oscar Aleman chose a Tri-Cone his mid-1939s jazz/swing recordings in Paris!
