Although there are now new banjos that include "Master Clone" as part of their model code, for years the term has just been shorthand for a copy of a Gibson Mastertone resonator 5-string banjo with a heavy tone ring. This made-in-Japan Iida tenor banjo from the '70s features a variation of the classic "Flying Eagle" pattern neck inlays and flathead tone ring, with a maple shell and mahogany neck and resonator. Straight neck, geared tuners, and low string action make this an excellent jazz or Celtic banjo for intermediate level players. Overall, this a clean, well cared for four-string banjo. Includes a padded nylon gig bag.
