Kawai started making electric guitars in the early 1960s and quickly became one of the largest exporters of Japanese guitars to the American market. Kawai guitars were sold under a number of brand names, including Tele-Star, which was a New York based distributor. This particular guitar is one of their simpler models and it was made with a short, 23.5" scale length, so it was most likely marketed to children. This instrument is in fine condition with just a few minor nicks and dings here and there. Includes a padded gig bag.
