This Martin Style 2 soprano uke is in remarkably clean condition with no cracks or other issues. The top, back and sides are made of mahogany and it’s bound in ivoroid. The fretboard is Brazilian rosewood. The finish is crisp with barely any signs of having been played. Because they don’t have serial numbers, dating older Martin ukes is more an art than a science. This uke has the "made in U.S.A" stamp on the inside of the back, so we know it was made in 1960 or a little later. And since Martin dropped the Style 2 from the catalog in 1965, we know it was made before that. This Martin Style 2 soprano is a great sounding ukulele in the kind of condition we don’t often see. Includes an early 1960s brown chipboard case.
