This Century BR-2 was made around 1949 and it features the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic that Gibson developed for its line of steel guitar after World War II. This Century is fitted with an early version of the P-90 that doesn’t have adjustable pole pieces. Most of the parts are original, including the pickup cover, which is, happily, not cracked. The only non-original parts are the tuner buttons. The black finish is in fine condition with the light crazing we came to know and love on Gibson instrument from this period. This is a great sounding steel with a clear, ringing tone. Includes the original brown case with velvet interior.
