This Regal Model 45 squareneck was made around 1935 and it’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. (This particular has no serial number so more precise dating is impossible) The back and sides are layered mahogany and the top is three-ply spruce. The original cone was swapped out for a new one made by Beard but the tailpiece, tuning machines and coverplate are all original. Although this guitar has a Regal logo, it has the deeper, 3 1/2 -inch body, which suggests it was made in California rather than Chicago. Spruce top Dobros are scarce and this is a great-sounding example. Includes a modern hardshell case.
