The HF-4 Baritone is Kamaka's largest ukulele, and it produces the most guitar-like tone. It's really as much a small nylon-string tenor guitar as it is a large uke, and lots of guitar players use it as such. As shown here, it's sent from Kamaka with strings intended to be tuned "low to high" (like the top 4 strings of a guitar), but it's easy to change the 4th string if you want to use the same high-4th-string tuning typically used on smaller ukes. Regardless of which tuning you choose, the HF-4 offers the smooth bass response that many players prefer, but with the same easy string action that allows people who find the number of strings, and the string tension, of a regular guitar just too darn tough for their left hand. This instrument comes with the new Kamaka-branded hardshell case. A sturdy, high-grade, arch-top case that will protect your ukulele for years.
