Bill Asher is best known for his stellar lap steel guitars but he also builds some amazing standard guitars, as well. This Marc Ford Signature Model is an excellent example of Asher’s versatility. This guitar incorporates Ford’s favorite Strat elements, like the 25.5-inch castle, vibrato and bolt-on neck design, with the best of his Les Paul Junior, such as the P-90-style pickups. The Sweet 90 pickups are made by Asher specifically for this model. This is the most recent version of the guitar with the six-position Varitone-style control with a chickenhead knob. The Strat-style vibrato was made by Callahan and works very well. This guitar is extremely lightweight and responsive. It’s in excellent cosmetic and structural condition,, with just the lightest signs of fret wear. Includes the original hardshell case.
