This ukulele was made by Ken Timms, a retired engineer and toolmaker who lives in Stockton-on-Tees in the north east of England. He has been building ukes by since the mid-1990s and in that time has earned a reputation for making some of the finest ukes out there. This particular soprano was inspired by the plain mahogany Style 0 ukuleles Martin has been building since 1916. Like those venerable instruments, top, back and sides are all made of solid mahogany. Ken’s version adds a very nicely done French polish and Gotoh UKA tuning pegs. This uke is in almost unplayed condition and includes a hardshell case.
