Wilco's Jeff Tweedy has long been a fan of vintage Martins and a couple of his favorites were the inspiration for this model. It's essentially an all-mahogany 00, but with an important difference in that the body is much deeper than a standard Martin 00 (the "DB" in the model code stands for "deep body"). This gives it a warmer and smoother bass than a regular 00 with mahogany top. Note that the neck is 1 3/4" wide at the nut, and it has the long (25.4") string scale instead of the 24.9" scale of a typical Martin 00. The long scale also gives this model more power, and means the bass strings don't get floppy-sounding when you use low tunings. It's completely original and in near-perfect shape showing only very light and careful use, and the original case is the same, which is why there's not much to say about the condition.
