Gryphon ordered a batch of custom instruments from Taylor in the Fall of 2018 and hand selected the wood for each instrument at the Taylor factory. This instrument was largely designed by the shop's own Erik Frykman, who's thinking was that the Lutz Spruce and Adirondack bracing combined with the Koa back and sides would create a balanced baritone guitar with ample projection. As a result, this guitar is excellent for standard and open tunings. It's in excellent shape with just a little bit of play wear in the picking area with no fret wear to speak of. This guitar came back to us in a trade because the baritone scale length was just too much of reach for his arthritic fingers. Consequently. This guitar is in almost unplayed condition. Includes it’s original Taylor Case.
