We used to stock Jake Maclay’s ukuleles way back when, but his exquisite hand-crafted ukuleles became very popular and when his waiting list stretched to more than a year, he could longer spare any for us. Bad news for us but we are always happy when a skilled luthier achieves success. Happily, his success has continued and his waiting list is now about two years long, which makes this lovely tenor ukulele a rare find. This ukulele was special ordered with a redwood top and highly figured birdseye maple back and sides, a combination that produces a rich, mellow tone with a nicely focused bass response. It’s technically a used instrument but it has been so lightly played you can barely tell. Includes a hardshell case.
