Except for very light fret wear this is essentially a new Northfield, as the owner was extremely careful with it. Purchased new from Gryphon, it spent a couple of years not far from here and it's only improved to an even more impressive tone. One of our favorite features on these mandolins is the neck, with string spacing at the nut that gives your fingers just a bit more room than the usual 1 1/8 inch modern mando neck. But the neck doesn't feel clubby and won't slow you down.
