Based on the first guitar Martin called the D-28, this 1931 Authentic model features hide glue construction and an ebony truss rod. It has Madagascar rosewood back & sides, an Adirondack spruce top with scalloped braces, ivoroid binding and herringbone top trim. It has the Authentic 1931 neck shape, VTS top, an ebony fretboard and a 1 7/8" width nut. Martin’s 12-fret dreadnoughts are amazing sounding guitars, with a rich, rumbling bass and clear, balanced trebles and mids. As you might expect, this is a very loud guitar when driven hard, but it responds equally well to a lighter touch. This guitar is in excellent condition with just a few very minor signs of having been played. Includes the original Geib-style hardshell case.
