We sold this Collings CJ-35 w/European spruce top when it was new but it doesn't look like it saw much use since then. It was the classic Gibson-shape neck that sold it, but sometimes electric guitar players really get into playing acoustic and sometimes they just don't. If you like the volume and tonal clout that comes from a fairly large guitar with deep sides, but you like plenty of treble and midrange to go with the bass, you'll probably like this one. This is a loud guitar with the tonal clarity to cut through any mix, but of course you can warm it a lot by playing over edge of the soundhole near the end of the fingerboard. And of course if you like that classic Gibson neck shape this CJ will win you over for sure.
In terms of condition just think of this as a new guitar. You get to save a lot of dough, since it's technically used, and you get to break it in!
