The Edge Stratocaster is inspired by the various 1970s black models he toured with in the 1970s. This signature edition retains the vibe of those guitars while subtly modernizing them for better performance. Rather than the traditional squared-off heel and three-bolt neck of the originals, this guitar has a contoured neck heel and and a four-bolt neck. This guitar is fitted with Custom Shop Fat ‘50s single-coil middle and neck pickups and a DiMarzio FS-1 bridge pickup with flattened pole pieces, a combination that offers a wide range of tones, including The Edge’s now iconic chiming timbre. This particular guitar is in excellent structural condition. The frets are in good shape and have lots of life in them. The black finish does show some signs of having been played and there are a few minor scuffs and dings here and there, Includes the original grey tweed case.
