Martin introduced the D-41 in 1969 as a slightly less ornamented version of their flagship D-45. Unlike the D-45, which boasts abalone purfling around the top, back and sides the D-41 only abalone around the top border. The back and sides are Indian rosewood and the top is Sitka spruce with scalloped braces, a combination that this guitar a rich, mellow tone. This particular D-41 was made in 2014 and it’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. There are few very small signs of having been played, but none large enough to show up in our photos. The frets have just a hint of wear. Includes the original hardshell case.
