If you need a uke that can be heard without having to bash on it this National will do the job, and with style. Don't let the metal body worry you, thanks to nylon strings the sound is nice and bubbly and nobody would guess from the sound that you're playing a steel ukulele! There's a little nick to the color on one edge and a couple of light scuffs to the neck finish, but otherwise this uke is in great condition. This ukulele originally had friction pegs but at some point in the past, someone upgraded to geared Gotoh tuners, a smart move in our opinion.  The Concert string scale gives your fingers plenty of room but it's still a small tuck-under-your-arm uke. But it isn't at all small in the sound dept, and projects really well.  Nice original case as shown.
