A beautiful Ome openback, and in nearly perfect condition. Many of the newer fans of openback banjos don't realize that Chuck Ogsbury, founder of Ome but now mostly retired, was the first independent banjo maker of the folk revival back in 1961. This has the Tubaphone tone ring and so delivers that rich, ringing, early Vega sound. And of course when you're not playing it the inlays and highly figured maple makes it an enjoyable art piece. Has fifth string spikes at 7th and 9th frets.
