An excellent contemporary archtop by San Francisco luthier Tim Frick. Built in mid-2012, this example has slight fret wear and a few small nicks to the top finish just above the low E string but has obviously had excellent care. Tim's workmanship is top-notch, and displays a clean and consistently harmonious design. The tone is equally balanced and it's a joy to play. Les Ismore is up there somewhere, smiling down on guitars like this, thankful to be reminded that somebody listened and there are guitarmakers who got it. Tim Frick is one of the best of them.
