Michael's first comment when he saw this guitar's Italian spruce top was "The bears sure were busy on that tree!" And he's right, for while you encounter "bear claw" figure in spruce now and then this is probably the most bear clawed top we've ever seen. And the South American mahogany back and sides is equally impressive with very consistent fiddle-back figure. The light fret wear is about the only sign this OM got played, but we're guessing the next owner will put more wear on those frets as this has all the brightness and chime you hope for in a mahogany OM, but still delivers a smooth bass. The cutaway invites the player to use those upper frets and the tone rewards the effort, a great guitar suitable for a wide range of playing styles.
