We love these Petersen Octave Mandolins and back when he was still making them we sold most of Bill's production. This ten year old example is in great condition with only very light fret wear and a few surface scuffs to the finish on the top. String action is nice and low and it delivers that gutsy rumble on the low strings that make playing an octave mandolin so rewarding. String scale is barely over 22.5" so it's not a handful for your left hand! It's a great, and relatively inexpensive, way for a mandolin player to find out if octave mandolin works for them.
