This 2004 Phil Leadbetter squareneck signature model was made during the period when Gibson was still producing Dobros. The top, back side and neck of this guitar are made with lovely figured maple and the fretboard is made of ebony with an engraved pearl “Phil Leadbetter” inlay at the 12th fret. The body on the guitar is 4 ⅛-inches deep (a standard Dobro is about 3 inches deep) a style that produces a richer, fuller, louder tone. It’s structurally and cosmetically fine. It does have a Fishman pickup installed but we’re not 100% sure of what model it is. Includes a new hardshell case.
