The Collings CW, or Collings Winfield, is a flat-pickers dream. The oversized soundhole and Adirondack/Mahogany combination, as well as hand-voiced bracing, deliver maximum headroom, volume, and dynamics. The tone is balanced and pleasant with a light or moderate attack but this is a dreadnought you can drive really hard without the tone breaking up. This one has been lightly used and has a modest amount of fretwear but is in otherwise great (actually near mint) condition. The "CW" model code does stand for "Collings Winfield," but this model's beginnings date back to Collings' early days when these same features were key elements of the popular Clarence White model Collings dreadnought. (Once White's survivors assigned the name to a bigger guitar company, Collings could no longer use it, but their CW guitar model remained unchanged.) Comes with its original hardshell case which is equally clean, and of course a fresh set-up.
