Breedlove is a guitar company that's been through lots of changes in the last fifteen years or so, but this C25 is from before two ownership changes, so it's essentially a slightly updated version of the original Breedlove models introduced in the early 1990s. Label signed by Steve Henderson, the co-founder of Breedlove. This has the light top construction and bracing with the Breedlove interior truss and two-piece bridge, a combination unique to Breedloves that proves ideal for fingerstyle playing, especially if you use open tunings.
This is a no-issues, like-new guitar that certainly doesn't look its age. Almost zero fret wear, no scratches or signs of wear, and comes in the origina deluxe TKLl hardshell case with Breedlove badge. You see a lot of more recent Breedlove guitars out there, incuding imports, but this example should not be confused with those lesser examples. This Maccasar ebony C25 is the real deal, from the period when fingerstyle playing, especially in open tunings, seemed poised to carve its own place in the acoustic guitar market.
