Here's a great fully-carved 17" jazz guitar, and one that combines an excellent acoustic tone with the smooth humbucker-in-neck-position jazz sound. The acoustic tone is thanks to the single pickup layout, which leaves the bridge area of the carved top free to vibrate (as compared to the L-5CES configuration which puts a hole and a heavy pickup right in front of the bridge). The Golden Eagle is the flagship model for Heritage, and this example has the full complement of deluxe features, such as a mother-of-pearl truss rod cover and a figured maple pickguard with sunburst and multi-ply binding to match the rest of the body. This has been well cared for and has only minor finish wear, and very light fret wear, with no cracks or serious dings. The fingerboard binding does have minute shrinkage cracks, one of which can be see at the 3rd-fret edge dot in photo 16 (there are three or four more of these binding cracks on the bass side of the fingerboard, with an equal number on the treble side). All original parts throughout, no sign of any repairs or changes, and the original hardshell case which is in equally clean condition.
