Maurice Dupont is best known in the US as a maker of Selmer-style guitars used by gypsy-jazz players, but in Europe he sells a wide range of more contemporary models. This custom model is a hybrid, ordered by the late Paul Hostetter of Santa Cruz when he was Dupont's distributor here in the States. This FL200 Custom has the slotted headstock, low-profile flat neck heel, and other cosmetic touches found on the Selmer-style models, and is made with the same woods throughout (the figured French walnut is particularly nice). But it doesn't sound like a Selmer Maccaferri guitar, and instead sounds and plays like a modern steel-string acoustic, made by a solo luthier with years and years of experience. Condition is essentially as new, with the TKL case originally ordered for it.
