This Dupont MC-10G was made in 1993 and is in excellent condition. (The G in the model designation stands for gauche, the French word for left, as in left-handed.) The top is European spruce and the back and sides are made from solid Brazilian rosewood. This guitar has the large D-shaped soundhole of the earliest Maccaferri-designed Selmers but it does not have the internal resonator, a feature that proved to be unpopular. This guitar has been very well cared for and shows just the slightest signs of having been used. The amber colored pickguard was installed by Maurice Dupont. This guitar was built before Dupont was making his Selmer-repro tuning machines so it is set up with Gotoh Kluson-style gears. This is a great sounding guitar with the warm, sweet tone that the 12-fret, D-soundhole guitars are known for. Includes the original hard case.
