This D-18 is as old as Gryphon but Frank and Richard probably wish they'd survived in such good condition, and of course a guitar that's a half century old sounds better than it did when new. The pickguard was recently replaced with the correct black 'guard from Martin (the original black acetate pickguard and curled and shrunk as those usually do). Our Repair Dept. also did a neck reset and refret, so it plays as good or better than a new Martin. No cracks, original finish throughout. Yes, those are pick scratches to the top above the low E string, guess somebody was either excited, or maybe slightly stoned or a bit drunk, and possibly all three, but fortunately only the lacquer was affected. Nice original case, made by Victoria Luggage.
