Here's a one-owner Fender, purchased by the guy's mother when he was in his early 'teens, and although the original lacquer finish has lots of crazing both the guitar, and its original case, have survived in excellent original condition with only minor signs of wear. The only change is that both switches have been replaced, but the originals were saved and are in the case along with the tremolo arm, bridge saddle cover, and what is probably an original black leather strap (but which has notFender logo, see photo 17). Shirt-button marks and light dings to the red lacquer on the back, a few light pick scratches to the top, a ding or two to the edges, and some dings to the top just to the right of the pickguard on the treble side, near the edge (see photo 9). These gray cases for Mustang models often did not hold up well with significant travel use, this example clearly was not sliding in and out of car trunks much, if at all.
