Step back 50 plus years with this RB-250, before bluegrass banjos got high tech. Except for some rather odd models from Vega, and newcomer Ode, Gibson was about your only choice in bluegrass banjos, and this RB-250 was high on just about every pickers list. This example has survived with all its original parts, including the cam-style Scruggs pegs ( Keith pegs had just been invented but weren't widely available yet). There's some wear to the back of the resonator, and some fret wear, but other than that the only thing that's been changed on this 1965 Mastertone is the head, the bridge, and of course the strings. Original Lifton hardshell case. Find a nice Ford F250 Custom Cab pickup from '64/'65 and hit the festivals in style next summer!
