Fresh from a very recent neck reset and set-up at the Martin factory in Nazareth, this 00-18 plays like a new guitar. Original finish, original Grover Sta-Tight tuners and faux tortoiseshell pickguard, and the original bridge. This is a one-owner guitar, purchased shortly after the original owner sat in the front row of a Joan Baez concert at San Jose State College, which included a then-unknown songwriter named Bob Dylan. As is typical of Martin's Repair Dept, they gave the original finish on this 00-18 some serious polishing, called "hard pad & polish" on the work order (which is included in the case). We saw this guitar before it went back to Martin, and it looked really good with only some light pick and/or finger scuffs to the top, but it really sparkles now! No cracks anywhere, and no sign of other repairs but the bridge height was reduced slightly years ago to lower the string action. It's now in a new TKL hardshell case (shown) but the original plush-lined chipboard case is included. (We will only ship this instrument in the new hardshell).
