This Martin 00-18 was made in 1964 and it's a great sounding little mahogany guitar. Most likely that is because at some point in its history someone reshaped the top braces to the prewar specs. We’re not sure who did the work, but they did an excellent job of it. The neck angle is good and it looks like it was refretted some time ago. Again, the work was very well done. We replaced the bridge about 10 years ago and, not to brag, if we didn’t have notes on the repair we wouldn’t have known. Happily, the pickguard is nice and flat and shows no signs of shrinking. The finish is lightly crazed on the top, back and sides and is quite attractive. Overall, this is a great looking that has a lovely tone. Includes a good hardshell case that looks like it was made in the early 1970s.
