Because they are too lightly built to work for bluegrass, players tend to forget about Martin’s mandolins. But if you play old-time string band music, Celtic or even classical, the delicate, ringing tone is very appealing. This particular Style A was made in 1949 and it’s in fine structural condition. It has all of its original parts include the engraved tailpiece cover. The finish is very lightly crazed and there are a few scratches here and there but it is in otherwise good cosmetic shape. The previous owner installed strap button on the heel. Includes a recent vintage hardshell case.
