A remarkably solid and original Silverbell tenor, and a good reminder of how ahead of the jazz-age banjo game Bacon & Day was even as as early as 1925. Original parts and finish throughout, with the original hardshell case. Of course the head has been replaced, and we probably shouldn't make claims about the originality of the armrest as we're just not sure. The original tuners work OK, but a serious player may want to install better, 4-to-1, gears. Fret wear is noticeable but this banjo plays just fine, check the photos to see the wear on the lower frets. No cracks or damage anywhere, just signs of wear from use, and the tell-tale signs of an instrument not far from its 100th birthday.
