One of the nicest snakehead Gibson mandolins we've had, and with a five-digit serial number starting with "773" this A-1 is from right in the middle of Lloyd Loar's prime 1924 period. Original throughout, including the frets and case, with no cracks or signs of any repairs (we're not counting the typical crack shown in photo 22 as that happened when the sides were bent, when it was made, and these cracks appear so often on old Gibson mandolins). Lovely thin finish with a great patina and the neck is very straight.
