Here's an excellent example of an instrument that represents a high-point in American mandolin history and manufacturing. This was Lyon & Healy's top mandolin model for almost two decades. However due to their high price these Style A models never sold in huge numbers, and not many have survived in the all-original condition of this one. It’s all there from headstock to tailpiece including the cool extending leg rest. This mandolin has its original finish throughout with only light surface wear. There is a small 2-inch repaired crack in the back by the tailpiece, but has been repaired and doesn’t show in the photographs. Great tone and very playable, an exceptional mandolin in every way. Includes the original hardshell case.
