In the late 1970s, Ibanez went through a bit of a rebranding, where they began incorporating a lot of their own designs into their product line instead of simple copying Gibson style guitars. This instrument has many of the common stylings of the famed double neck "SG" guitar that Jimmy Page played with Led Zepplin. Three of it's four pickups are original (both of the covered pickups under the 12 string as well as the "Zebra" neck pickup on the 6 string. However, for one reason or another (probable a pickup failiure), the bridge pickup was changed out for an Ibanez factory
