This Inter-Mark guitar was made in Japan by Shinko Gakki, a piano and organ manufacturer that made guitars for a brief period in the mid-1960s. Inter-Mark was a New York company that imported tape recorders and, for a year or so around 1967, guitars under the Cipher brand. This particular guitar doesn't have a model designation but the pickup configuration is identical to that found in the Cipher Valor, which has a different body shape. This guitar has an odd shape but it's very well made for its period. The multi-laminate neck has a solid feel and pickups have a clear, Strat-ish tone. All of the switches work well but the original vibrato bar is missing. Includes a recent gig bag.
