Wendall Hall was a popular singer, songwriter and vaudeville performer the 1920s whose bright red hair earned him the title of the Red Headed Music Maker. This uke pays tribute to his ginger locks with a very cool decal on the headstock proclaiming it the Red Head model. This uke was made in the mid-1920s by Regal, the venerable Chicago builder of well-made, inexpensive instruments. The top, back and sides are made from nicely figured mahogany. The uke is in fine condition and doesn't show too many signs of having been played over the years.
