A classy looking Style 2 Martin uke for about the price of a Style 0, so what gives? Simple explanation, this one has some repaired cracks to the back, one of which appears to have run the length of the body. Two short hairline cracks to the top on the bass side lower bout, and a couple of short cracks to the sides, have also been repaired The result is a very solid but lower-priced Style 2 Martin uke with that nice ivoroid binding framing the outline of the body. Nice snappy tone, as Martin didn't change their ukes much at all from the post-WWII era until the late '60s, and even then only the binding was changed. C.F. Martin III was still in charge, and it shows.
