Matt and Billy pulled out all the stops on this Custom Taylor 12-string and as a result there's zero chance you're going to see someone else playing a guitar that looks almost exactly like your own. From the highly figured African ebony back and sides to the Florentine cutaway, this Grand Auditorium has a unique vibe all the way. The common misconception with African ebony is that the light-colored wood is sapwood and somehow softer than the darker portions of the same log. Nope, it's just that some ebony trees are more uniformly black than others. The ebony seen here is dramatically colored with lots of contrast, but it's all very dense and the guitar has great projection and clarity as a result.
