Although this is obviously an ES-335, the model code listed on the Gibson Custom Warranty paperwork, and on the Custom Shop COA (see photo 21) is "ESDP EB NH1" which stands for ES Double Pickup, Ebony finish, Nickel Hardware. Please note that the dark "stains" in the middle of the fingerboard on this ES-335 are dark grain in the rosewood itself, and there's a long dark grain line under the bass strings that doesn't show as prominently in these photos as when you hold the guitar in your hands. In person, it's obvious you're looking at dark grain lines throughout the length of a rather light-colored rosewood fretboard.
OK, enough about model codes and fretboard grain lines..... This is original throughout and pretty clean overall but there are some scratches and dings along the bottom back edge, shown in photos 13 and 14. Only light finger marks to the face, the neck is super clean and fret wear is very light. The nickel plating everywhere is in great shape, and the silvery gleam of nickel-plated parts combined with that glossy black lacquer and cream-colored binding makes for a very classy ES-335. Sounds and plays like a 335 should, with great string action and the classic Gibson C-but-sorta-D-shape neck profile. The original hardshell case with "Gibson Custom" stencil on the lid is included.
