If you're a fan of small guitars with big necks, this last-of-the-old-script LG-2 will have you grinning from the first chord. It's from just after the "Only A Gibson Is Good Enough" banner on the headstock was discontinued, and just before the modern "Gibson" script on the headstock put an end to that lovely old gold script decal. Original tuners with repro buttons, original bridge and pickguard. Original bridge was lowered a bit. Has had recent professional refret. No cracks to the back, sides, or neck, but note the wear through the lacquer on the back of the neck, around the 7th fret (this is probably from a case where the padding had disappeared or worn off the neck rest). There are two cracks to the top between the end of the fingerboard and soundhole, both have been glued and reinforced (see photos 11 & 12). There's been zero distortion to the soundhole rosette, so nothing shifted and these are not dangerous. Great sounding mahogany LG-2, with the crisp trebles and mid-range bite you hope for from a spruce top version like this one.
